#SEFENY Sustainable and Ethical Fashion Events Near You #1

There's always so much going on in London. Sometimes we get lost in the busy day-to-day of work and home that we neglect our holistic development, our hobbies and interests.

#SEFENY (Sustainable and Ethical Fashion Events Near You) is a new addition to the Glow And See blog, and we plan to bring you fresh news and updates about the best events of London's sustainable and ethical fashion scene.

Lone Design Club (LDC) is back for another London Fashion Week, from 9 to 22 September with a concept store in Covent Garden. They have a carefully co-curated selection with over 20 of the best and brightest womenswear, accessories and lifestyle. The concept store is open to press, media, industry AND consumers alike.

You have the chance to meet the designers behind the brands, join their exclusive daily events and be a part of highly sought after designer-led experiences. LDC has also teamed up with Lanique to bring back the popular Rose Bar, featuring the Spirit of Rose, and they will have a beauty zone on-location to give yourself a little pampering.

Glow and See will be attending this event on their opening day (9 September), and bringing you live coverage on our Instagram, so pop by and give us a follow. Click the link to register and we'll see you there!

4. The Role of Indigenous Culture in Sustainable Fashion by PAUSE Fashion Hub

If shopping events and pop-up stores aren't for you, and you're more into talks, this is the perfect thing for you. This ties back to one of our recent blog posts that covered the sustainable fashion pact formed by the G7 and over 30 major fashion houses, who are trying to make the industry more sustainable. This talk that takes place on 18 September in Covent Garden, revolves around the often forgotten about and marginalised groups of our society, more specifically - indigenous minorities.

In order to raise awareness, create a conversation and educate consumers, this event plans to involve the demonstration and the discussion between the following advocates from three different groups. The guests of the evening will be Evelinda Otong, an Indigenous Artisan Weaver, from the Yakan tribe in the Philippines, Claire Powers, Creative Director at KINDOM a sustainable fashion brand based in the United States, and Andreea Tanasescu the founder of La Blouse Roumaine, Give Credit and Cultural Fashion Day. Click the link above to register for what we believe will be a highly illuminating talk.
